Common-value auction
Bid using your private clue about one shared value.
Your room opens with this game. You can change its rules or choose another game there.
- One actual value is drawn uniformly within the public range. Each player receives a private value-plus-error clue; clues are not clipped to the value range.
- Submit a sealed integer bid or explicitly pass. A zero-dollar bid can win for free and differs from passing. Highest-bid ties use the published seat priority. The order is drawn anew at the start of each game.

- First-price pays the winner actual value minus their own bid. Second-price uses the larger of the reserve and the second-highest bid, or just the reserve for a lone bidder.
- Only a completed auction reveals the actual value, all clues, bids and price. Negative profit does not remove future bidding rights; a private clue is not a guaranteed optimal bid.
All $ amounts are virtual game dollars.
